SUMMARY:AHRN Seminar | Hydrogen Production - AHRN Working Group Presentations
DESCRIPTION:Speakers\n \n\nDr Ema Frery \nCSIRO \n\nDr Emanuelle Frery is a senior research scientist leading a research team in the Energy Resources Program. Her team focus on natural hydrogen systems and CCS with a multidisciplinary approach\, from the lab to the field. She acquired a worldwide academic expertise in structural geology with a PhD thesis on the fluid and gas circulation along natural faults recorded in the well-known red sandstone of the Colorado Plateau and her implication in the IODP research on active serpentinite mud volcanoes. She is an expert of risk assessment of energy production impact on the environment and socio-economical assets and acted as deputy lead in the $34.5 million GBA programme. She is the AFRAN WA Hub leader and a member of SEG and PESA. \n\n\n \n\nProf Prasad Kaparaju \nGriffith University \n\nProfessor Kaparaju has over 22 years of experience in environmental engineering and waste management with special emphasis on biomass-to-biofuel conversion technologies\, biomass pre-treatments and renewable energy. He was the chief investigator for the research projects funded by CRC RACE for 2030 \, Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA)\, Department of Industry\, Innovation and Science\, Australian Government and Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade\, Government of Australia. Dr Kaparaju is the first researcher to demonstrate biogas production and upgrading the biogas to bio-CNG for vehicle fuel use in Australia. He was one of the first established researchers to initiate research on integrated biorefinery from lignocellulose biomass such as wheat straw\, which was subsequently found applications for similar biorefinery concepts e.g. waste biorefinery and other lignocellulose biomass. \nRegister now\nView the presentations for this webinar:\n\nIntroduction by Andrew Dicks\nBiohydrogen by Professor Prasad Kaparaju\, Griffith University\nNatural Hydrogen by Dr Dr Emanuelle Frery

SUMMARY:AHRN Seminar | Hydrogen Industry - Hype and Reality
DESCRIPTION:Speakers \nLeanne Halliday \nLRQA \n\nLeanne is a chartered chemical engineer with 20 years’ experience in the energy sector and works on global accounts associated with hydrogen. Leanne has design\, commissioning\, project management and sales management experience across the UK\, Asian and Australian markets. She has worked for LRQA for over 10 years\, focusing her experience and expertise on helping industry to assure safety and quality across the supply chain. Leanne is currently a member of the Australia Standards hydrogen production and storage working group and engaged in hydrogen projects globally. She is currently based in Western Australia where there is significant potential for the development of a green hydrogen market for export to Japan and Korea. The regional government plans to introduce up to 10 percent renewable hydrogen into the gas network by 2030. \nRegister now\n\nView the presentations for this webinar:\n\nPeter Grubnic update of HyResearch\nLeanne Halliday Hydrogen market overview
